About the event
Since 2006, St. John’s has welcomed our neighbors to a free fellowship meal every Saturday from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.
We call it the Peace Meal Project because we know that sharing a meal is only one small piece of the larger work of addressing poverty, inequality, and loneliness. Our focus is simple: we gather around the table, share a meal, and share fellowship. We do not collect or distribute clothing, food items, or transportation tickets.
We believe that there is something sacred about sharing a table. In gathering together, we catch a glimpse of the reign of God we hope for: a community of justice, peace, and dignity for all people. We delight in a crowded table -- and there is always a place for you.
